the “Connection lost. Make sure Qlik Sense is running properly….” When using Safari on iPad

Our client is attempting to connect to via via an Ipad A1566 Air" using ios 10.3.3 and Safari,  to Sense February 2018 using an http connection, but is getting the “Connection lost. Make sure Qlik Sense is running properly….” when selecting an app to open in their work area. We have extended the keep-alive setting to 120 but the error persists.

Are there any actual guide line for setting this up OR any suggestions of what can be tried next??

Best regards

Andy

Is the Sense site open to the Internet or is the iPad on the local network?

Hi Steve,

it's connecting via their local WIFI network, no VPNs involved.

Do laptops connecting via the name wireless access point have any issues, or is it just the iPad?  Have you tried a different browser on the iPad?

Hi Andy,

Are you running anti-virus on the iPads?  Looking at this thread it seems that this can cause the error message that you are seeing:
