QAPOS , Qlik Application Performance Optimization Strategies, provide a conceptual framework by which to identify and implement specific optimizations in Qlik applications.

Optimizations are changes that provide empirically measurable performance improvement, in one or more of the following aspects:

1. Reduced response times
2. Decreased hardware consumption
3. Improved system reliability

An Optimization Candidate (OC) is a change that we hypothesize will improve performance, in terms of one or more of these aspects. An OC has the potential, through prototyping and empirical testing, to become a Validated Optimization (VO).
