How QlikView customers can utilize Insight Advisor Chat
Getting started with Insight Advisor Chat is simple. It is part of Qlik Sense, so as a QlikView customer, you can easily convert your QlikView app over to Qlik Sense using the same data model. QlikView and Qlik Sense share the same data model and the Insight Advisor has the ability to consume Qlik Sense data models. In addition, the Insight Advisor does not require pre-built dashboards in an app, so you do not need to rebuild all your visualizations. You’ll be able to immediately begin using Insight Advisor Chat, which will accelerate development of your first Qlik Sense application.
So, as expectations for analytics evolves you can expand use of Qlik Sense to remain relevant and stay ahead of your competition by implementing new apps and new BI use cases. Qlik has worked hard to eliminate the common barriers to adopting Qlik Sense for QlikView customers. These include:
- Technical: We’ve worked diligently to add more robust visualization and application development functionality in Qlik Sense. We’ve made many improvements, including adding over 20 new visualization types and over 50 new visualization and dashboard features, along with greater flexibility around content distribution. This means as a QlikView customer you can feel confident that you’ll be able to create rich applications in Qlik Sense.
- Migration: You don’t need to migrate. You can continue using your existing QlikView apps as you modernize with Qlik Sense. But if you do choose to convert apps, the free Governance Dashboard helps you identify the QlikView apps that would easily migrate to Qlik Sense. Then, the QlikView Converter helps you easily convert QlikView apps to Qlik Sense, including migration of data models and expressions.
- Learning curve: Qlik Sense was specifically designed for ease of use and self-service. The QlikView to Qlik Sense Learning Path within Qlik Continuous Classroom provides many free self-paced Qlik Sense training courses.
