Hi all,
In my QlikView documents I have some graphs that change clicking in a button that change a variable to 0, 1, 2, etc.
In NP 16 I could make a filter using that variable, but I can't find that option in NP June 2017.
I only can find the option to make a filter using fields.
Please, can anybody help me? Or it's not possible to do it?
Thanks all.
Hi Mario,
Unfortunately Qlik NPrinting June 2017 and other versions of the 17 serie cannot use a filter to set a variable value as you can do with 16.* serie.
Best Regards,
Ruggero

Hey Ruggero,
Is this still the case that we cannot use variable filters? We are on the latest April release.
Hi,
No. We are speaking about using Qlik NPrinting filters to set the value of a QlikView variable. This is supported in 16 but not yet in 17+ (now April 2018).
The support for variables in filters in April 2018 is the same as older 17+ versions.
Best,
Ruggero
Pitty, there are really so many features that are missing the more you go along with this product. An older N16 job required us to set the date filter to vYesterday / Yesterdays data which was done in N16.
Is there a way to replicate this to achieve the same output in NPrinting 17?
Hi,
We know that there are gaps to be filled, but we are working hard on this. As you can see allo new versions fill some gaps.
You can create a dynamic filter in Qlik NPrinting 17+ by using Qlik formulas. Remember to set Evaluate value in the drop down menu.

Ruggero

How does the dynamic filter (using a Qlik Sense) formula help with the need to set a Qlik Sense variable?
Is there a workaround which allows to set the sense variable some other way?
We use NPrinting June 2018 and really need this feature to filter using variables.
Hi,
Please open a new conversation for new questions. Thanks.
Qlik NPrinting 17+ at the moment doesn't support filters based on variables. You could try to use Evaluate and insert a formula that calculate the same value of the variable.

Ruggero
