Qlik Nprinting November 2020 - Generate the Report Specific to Material Sponsor and distribute their reports via mail

Hello Everyone,

I am  new to Qlik Nprinting and I have the requirement  as below.

I have a field call Material Sponsor which list all the Material Sponsors name, I have built the Tabular format data in my Qliksense app to show the details of Material sponsor . Now in Nprinting I need to generate this report specific to each Material Sponsor and need to send only their data for each of the Material Sponsor and send their report via  email. I dont know how to achieve this. But I am able to connect my Qliksense app  to Qlik Nprinting, But not sure which filter to use how to use the email id of the each Material sponsor to send their respective data.

I tried using the cycling option with Material sponsor  it will give me the report for each Material sponsor but in zip format and I dont think this is the correct approach.

Please guide me the steps. I am using the Qlik Nprinting November 2020 version.

Hi, 

1. Each "material sponsor" recipient needs to be created as a user in NPrinting with

• assigned role - necessary so report can actually go out to specific 
• assigned filter (filter which will be respectively filter their data only)
• assigned group - this is to simplify publish task

This point you normally will achieve by following steps on how to import recipients from excel. Note that link has a sample file with required structure you will have to populate:

2. Import task can associate all required filters with their users and groups. All that is also described if you follow the link I have sent you.

3. Once you import all your "material sponsor users" with their respective filters, roles and groups you will create your report template, add it to publish task and in publish task as a user you would select a group you have associated all those users with which will skip you hussle of adding all those users respectively to task. 

I dont want to write all steps as they are all written in help document anyway. If there are some particulars which are not clear I would encourage you to search community for answers as many of those topics were already covered here.

Thanks for the Solution.

I followed the same steps as mentioned,

but it is not working. I have attached the screenshots of what I  followed.

when i use more than one filter then the emailing is not yet working.

not sure whether I have the access to configure the user filters.

Please guide me. If anything  I have done incorrectly.

What exactly is not working?
Your import file seems be correct based on the images you provided.

• Perhaps your email settings on the NP server are not configured?
• Perhaps you haven't enabled email destination in your publish task? Did this task fail or execute normally?
• Did the import task work or did it fail?
• Can you check that the filters are showing up in the 'Filters' area of the NPrinting web console. See https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2021/Content/NPrinting/ReportsDevelopment/Static-dynamic-fi...
