Acess Denied to the Qlikiew Document - Document faled to load

Hi all,

I have been given a  qvw docucment, when I tried to open it I get this error message:

Access denied to the Qlikview document.

When I click on close the pop up message box I get this message:

The document//........failed to load

Please  can you advise to the possible reasons and solutions.

As per my understanding to check the Client Access L you need to have the Admin rights.

Phresh,

Looks like this application is protected or restricted through section access by the primary developer. For sure you can't open this as you don't have credentials for it.

Better ask for the credentials .

Where do you open this document on server or on desktop?

does this have section access?

Hi Ashfaq,

Documents were saved on the network shared drive. I opened the docoument from here.

A bit on mix up there.

I am running the document from my desktop via a network drive.

I also have access to Qlikview Management Console. There is Section Access Management tab on the console.

Thats true,

1) As I ask can you ask owner does this application hase section access

2) Make sure do you have access to this application (If not go to security tab and add your name)

3) You can even try by opening application without Data

I understand that you are trying to open the document through a desktop version which you are unable to which means that there is a section access SCRIPT present in the document. You'll not be able to access the document until someone who already has access logs in, add you as well as an admin/user reload the document and then save it.

It is only then you'll be able to access it.
