Hi everyone,
I had a requirement where i need to use excel web file as my source which is in sharepoint site.
I have gone through many study cases on how to load from sharepoint lists.
But I want my data to be loaded from excel web file.
When I tried to import data using xslx, i am getting bad zip file error.
None of the methods is working out.
I would be thankful if someone helps me in this regards.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jeshwanth B
Have you tried just .xls?
sorry if that's a dumb question
also check the load syntax:
Hi Adam,
I have tried it(.xls), but of no use.
The link you have given is reading the excel file from our local machine. But my excel is in sharepoint.
Hi,
Sorry yes I know that relates to desktop but AFAIK the same rules apply to loading from sharepoint?
i.e. you still need the declaration for biff or ooxml depending on the filetype
Hi Adam,
How can i know the declaration whether it is of biff or ooxml type when by default it is showing me the error.
It's not letting me import the file.
Can you open the Excel file from the SharePoint link in er... Excel? If you cannot, then you have either a SharePoint permissions problem, or the file is mimicking an biff/ooxml file but in reality it is something else...
Hi Peter,
I am able to open the file in excel. But while i am trying to read it into qlikview, it's getting error.
