Limited User Access

Hi All,

I have a problem, how can I provide users to access only those qvw files which are usable for them?

I have no publisher license.

Please explain step by step.

All solutions are valuable for me.

u can across check the above suggested solution,

1. add the user whoever don't have ur server access to see the difference,by default ur server user can access/see all the docs.

The easiest anwser is to use file security in Windows. Section Access is not the best first step as the user can still 'see' the apps even if they cant open them.

With file security, you need to watch out for inherited permissions which can often mean that users you have not explicitly setup can still see QVW files because they (or a group they bleong to) have read permissions to the folder the file is in.

Warning: If you are not comfortable with Windows File Security (aka NTFS) then I would get some direct assistance from someone who does. Your sysadmin would be a good person.

See my warning at the end. You need to get some local help reviewing the existing security and setting up the user changes needed.
