clear

Hi,

When ever i click the clear button , it should select some default selection.

Example when i click the clear button, correct selection should be in default selection of  DEPT "IT" COLLAGE "AMIT".

please help me..

Use bookmarks, or an action to Clear All and then set the required value in the Dept field.

You may just be able to do it with a macro - there is an API call: Document.SetClearState

To implement what the OP is after, you would need a bookmark for each tab, on OnActivate Sheet, the macro would apply the bookmark for that tab, and then call Document.SetClearState.... -- assuming that API call works in all environments.

Not a solution I like, but then I generally avoid macros, and our environment is pure Ajax....

No it's not.

You may create a workaround that does (more or less) what you want, but you cannot let the Clear button trigger an action.

It gets even better: the Clear button will clear list box selections but the list boxes won't recognize this as a change in selections per se and therefore won't trigger any OnSelect/On Change/OnAnySelect actions. Doh.

As a workaround, you can use a bookmark with your default state.  And have a button activate the bookmark to restore your state, when they want to go back to it.
