Gantt chart (also known as timeline chart) is a useful chart used to measure activities, such as production, tasks, events, etc. against time. This is a popular type of chart and has many uses, so it would be nice to have this type of chart included in the default charts of Qlik Sense.

This is such a common thing customers ask for. So far all the customers I have worked I would say. Especially in the areas of production, marketing, project management (of course).

I've been urged to find ways to make a Gantt chart on project timelines and for that chart to be effective is visualizing those scheduled/actual milestone dynamics. I've successfully used the Top 10 Viz Tricks here Top 10 Viz tricks - Qonnections 2019   to use the bar chart for this purpose but there's not enough customization specifically for this kind of chart that I'd like to build for my enterprise. It would be beneficial to have a dedicated Gantt chart option to choose from as a default. I think it would be excellent to provide a degree of customization that allows for multiple viz outputs of a Gantt. One thing I would also love to see in a Gantt is a way to show value indicators as an object or shape in conjunction with bars on the same schedule lines to denote a milestone's scheduled or actual hit target while using the bars in the viz to show people an easy to understand status indicator for project schedules. I've had no luck in producing this on the bar #chart and using the combo chart doesn't give me the desired viz of a #gantt with horizontal bar orientation.

Absolutely agree.

It's "the" most obvious & sorely needed chart.

Would love to tie in a measure to control the thickness of each bar (individual, not series) too.

(Imagine a long running task of 1 hour a day vs. a short task of 8 hours a day)
