I would encourage you to have a look into the new Space concept within our Qlik Sense Enterprise on Cloud Services & Qlik Sense Enterprise on Kubernetes deployment options. Spaces are one level in how you can organize your content. But across Spaces you can use Tags and Collections to group your content and make it easier to filter and find.
Here is a link to our help page with more details. Working in Spaces
Even in streams folders will be quite helpful when you have over 200 apps (regular case in big corporations). If you have the single level of app organization (streams) then you will get either infinite streams list or unreadable app overview.
It would be great if there are several other ways to make an easy navigation between apps
this is a great idea. Several people have voted with likes... Qlik support, has this been submitted as a product enhancement request yet? streams can get cluttered and having the ability to have folders inside the streams would make organization much better.
Adding a +1 on behalf of a customer who asked for this feature. The ability on organise the work stream primarily into different sub-components ( whether they are folders ) or not would bring much needed focus to a large enterprise hub where developers work on many different apps.
I know that you are asking for this as part of our QSEoW composition, but I do want to come back to what I said below in October. As we introduced a new Space concept as part of our QSEoCS & QSEoK composition this is addressing most of your questions. As you can see on the following Screenshot we do allow for Application Tagging which then can be used to group content and use it so to speak as a sub category. Security is controlled by Spaces but you can even create a view of Apps across different Spaces by using the tags.
Having that capability in QSEoW as part of your own "work" area and Streams is currently not planned. But we are considering the grouping of sheets as an option as part of your "app overview".
Let me know if you want to discuss this in more detail.
I think it would be handy if you could subdivide the 'My Work' area in general, either with several 'My Work' areas or in the 'My Work' area with folders, so to speak, where you assign the app as subfolders to get more structure. If you work on several areas and still have "archievements", you wouldn't have everything wildly together.
So what is the status with this development idea, since the first post is already a bit older? @Thomas_Hopp
I fully agree and raised this request already years ago.
We use Enterprise on windows and it is a pain to have all the apps in progress in one folder. And it is not an option to temporarily publish to a stream and return them back for editing.
This would be my single biggest request! @Rebekka and @mg_gsi_da totally agree with you. Working on projects across multiple parts of the business, it would be tremendously helpful to organize my work stream by area, active projects, archive old work etc. Hate deleting anything because you never know when that random app or development may come in handy, but my work stream is becoming hard to decipher!
