Currently,  Compose only supports the "Create tables in schema" option in the "modify data mart settings" dialog when the target environment is SQL Server.   

Enabling this option for Synapse would allow data marts to be separated by schema (e.q. FIN for financial data mart, HR for human resources data mart, etc.).   This would allow managing data mart security at the schema level and make finding and using related data mart tables much easier.

This has been added to the roadmap for Qlik Compose.

This has been delivered in a patch release in Compose. 

Qlik Compose 2022.5 SP06 (/2022.5.0.493) provides the ability to select the schema to create data mart tables (as shown below).
