How the DoD makes decisions is changing. One of the main functions of a Data Warehouse (DW) is to serve as the enterprise repository of history and changes over the lifetime of data domain elements. A key consideration for the design and operationalization of a new Data Warehouse environment is the sourcing and incorporation of history. Qlik Compose as a Data Warehouse Automation (DWA) product has features in place to assist with this process for a newly build Compose managed DW. In this paper, we will explore the concepts and features that will enable the importing of history from existing sources, including a legacy Data Warehouse into the Compose-managed Data Warehouse.
