NPrinting Excel missing borders

We have an NPrinting report / Excel template for which the Grid Lines / Borders are not carrying down through each line of the levels. Does anyone know what might be causing this, or know of a workaround?

Below is  a screenshot of the Template and of the resulting spreadsheet.  you can see the break in the border between columns A and B, D and E, G and H, etc. in between the light blue rows.  I've tried with and without the <delete row> as well as extra blank lines, but still get the same result.

We're on QlikSenseServer 14.54.2, and NPrinting Version 21.14.7.0

Thanks!

Here's how the report looks when it's generated (and the template is below):ResultResultTemplateTemplate

Try this:

  1. Deselect the 'keep source formats' check box on the top chart object. Allow the 'keep source formats; changes to be applied to each individual field.
  2. Place your boarder as needed using Microsoft Excel boarder tool
  3. Ensure that the column width is sufficient ie: use only 2 decimal points for example and resize the column with accordingly
  4. Preview

Example and image attached containing results.

Hope this helps...

Hi,

Qlik NPrinting 21.14.7 is May 2021 SR3. Thanks for adding the details of the version in the text but, please, remember also to add the label that will be easier to find. Thanks.

I also suggest you upgrade your installation to a more recent version because we solved some issues with borders associated with merged cells and it could be that you are experiencing one of them. May 2022 IR solves this:

Borders were randomly added to merged cells
Jira issue ID: OP-95639
Borders were sometimes added to some merged cells of generated reports, even if they were not set in the
source template.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
