Does anybody knows what this 2 tables are considers Charts ?
Thanks in Advance , Enrique
Hello Enrique,
It is somehow answered in QlikView help:
Charts are graphical representations of numerical data. The pivot table and the straight table are special cases as they display the data in table form while retaining all the properties of a chart

Because they are all created with the same dialog window.

I am not a linguist nor an english native speaker, but it seems 'chart' is indeed not a wrong label here:

2. A systematic non-narrative presentation of data.

I guess he is confused, because Table Box is a separate object, while Pivot / Straight Table are charts.
Then sentence form help (about shared properties) makes sense
That exactly what i meant. Thanks for answer Jaku
Yes but Table Box is only a selection of fields in all possible permutations based on the selections while Straight Table and Pivot Table contains expressions that govern which dimensions are visibel.
Also every chart (be it linear graph, pie, gauge or whatever) can be converted to a straight table that is the base for all graphs data wise.
Thanks a lot Anders for your knowlege contribution. !! i guess just the name make me confuse but thecnically you are right,
Best regards!!
