can we change vertical to horizontal legend in pie chart

Hi,

Do you mean the legend at the bottom with Expression 2 on the side of Exp1 ?

First, you need to hold Ctrl+Shift. Red borders will appear aruond the object you can move.

Move the legend from the right to the bottom. A black border appears when you can dock it to the bottom.

If the expression are not side by side yet, you can hold Ctrl+Shift and adjust the red border of the lengend to resize it.

Does this still work in recent QV Desktop versions?

I was looking for this legend layout in a chart with multiple expressions, so I opened your example. The arrangement was there initially, but it almost immediately vaporized when I started moving these red boxes. And whatever I do, I'm unable to get it back to this horizontal layout with side-by-side items...

Am I still missing something? Thanks.

Hi Peter,

The functionality is still available.  In the General tab, select the Reset User Docking and Reset User Sizing buttons to start over again.  This functionality is not smooth and it takes some playing to use it well.

Thanks Karl, I got it to work at least once. But the method is horrible.

It's just a matter of "not giving up"...
