Latest update as of Feb. 15, 2022. All current threats have been addressed.

Further updates will be made as new information becomes available.

Qlik has been diligently reviewing and testing our product suite since we’ve become aware of the Apache Log4j vulnerability mid-December.  We want to ensure Qlik users that your security is our upmost priority. We have addressed multiple vulnerabilities through a series of product patches for supported affected versions and we recommend you update to the most recent releases available, shown in the chart below.

Log4j versions before v2.16 presented the highest threat and all exposed Qlik products have provided patches with at least v2.16 and will all be updated to v2.17.1 or later under the regular release schedule as we are not vulnerable to the CVEs related to 2.17.0

We’d like to direct you to our FAQ document to review should you have any further questions, and we encourage you to comment with any additional questions.

Greetings,

We got multiple comments about the download link does not work. The steps of download QDI (Replicate & QEM) products are:

1. Access  Software Download | Qlik.com

2. Press "Data Integration" (you may close the unnecessary popup windows)

3. Select Product --> "Qlik Replicate"

4. Select version No. "2021.11"

5. Click to download the Linux installation kit, or Windows installation kit.

Hello @IDLTeam ,

I did not get a plan date yet please allow me some time I will check with @PatrickQ and get back to you.

Regarding the log4j version 2.17 fixes, if you are running scanners and require strict adherence to vulnerable libraries exclusion policies, it is possible with any of the patches to simply replace the log4j-(core|api)-2.x.y.jar with the latest (currently 2.17) jars which you can download Apache Log4j from Apache website.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

John.

Hi @john_wang ,

Thanks a lot for your quick reply , in this way :

- Could you please confirm to me that there will be no impact on support of our version if we do this action manually ?

- Could you please provide to us a procedure to make this action manually ? Make sense that Qlik provide to us this kind of documentation for each applications within the waiting period ?

As you know version 2.16 stay vulnerable.

Need to have sames information for Qlik replicate 7.0

Thanks a lot

BR

Thanks @john_wang .

I would try to replace the log4j-core/api-2.16... file with log4j-core/api-2.17.

@john_wang

Do I need to rename the log4j-core/api-2.17 files to log4j-core/api-2.16?

Hello @vinci_wu ,

1. If Replicate/QEM is using log4j 2.16 then you can manually replace the 2 jars file by 2.17.

If older versions log4j (eg 2.11 for Replicate 7.0) are using then you cannot replace it by 2.17. We are working on this topic.

2. No you need not because the jar files under this folder will be loaded, does not matter the exact name.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

John.
