Hello,

On mobile devices filter clicks result in a popup window.
My question;l how to disable this behaviour?
The current view is clear enough, i want the selected value to be set without any additional popup.
Couldn't find the question/answer on the forum.

Hi, I need your help quite urgently.

I have 2 sources, so 2 fields with the name 'code'. I need to compare them so I added a 'flag' into the sources: 'Source 1' as Flag and 'source 2' as Flag.

I need to find the codes who only have 'source 1'. So they are missing in source 2.

All those codes have 2 sources in this example: source 1 and 2.

I only need the codes with source 1 (and not source 2).

load script example (basic):

load

code as 'check code'

Source 1 as Flag

From source 1

load

code as 'Check code'

Source 2 as Flag

From source 2

If I filter on dimension 'Flag' on 'source 1' and select a code, then I remove the filter 'source 1' (so only the code filter left), then there are 2 sources: source 1 and source 2.. Those are the codes I DON'T need..

Can anyone please help me?

Hi there 🙂

We are trying to connect to the Engine API of our Qlik Sense Enterprise (on Windows) installation from a Python script, using a websocket. Qlik is running in a virtual machine in Azure.

After following these instructions on how to call Qlik Sense Engine API with Python (thanks @Damien_Villaret) I get this response:

I understand from other posts that this means that there is a problem at the authentication stage. I have checked our certificates many times and everything seems to be normal there.

In the other hand, we have managed to connect to the QRS from a Python script with "requests". But the authentication through certificates failed again. We could only make it through by using Windows authentication. Which is an option not available to connect to the Engine API using a websocket, if I am not mistaken.

So, it seems that there is indeed a problem with the certificates, although Qlik is working flawlessly (if this helps, I am running the scripts from the same server where Qlik is installed, which is already whitelisted in Qlik).

So the question is: where should I start troubleshooting this issue? The virtual proxies? Security rules? Any kind of additional validation of the certificates I must do in Qlik?

Any orientation will be hugely appreciated.

I've been trying all day to create YTD perios in order to create a chart showing figures compared over the current year period. I'm used to having YTD's in my data and simply adding them to my chart in Excel but in Qlik, I can't seem to work this out.

Below is how I would have it created in Excel:

This makes an easy year on year comparison possible.

But how can I get ytd's and add them to a grouped bar chart like above AND have these refreshed automatically upon a new data load?

I' ve been puzzling with expressions for dimensions in the chart but that didn't work out, I tried to add a variable containing the YTD (add wanting to add YTD-1 and YTD-2 later on).

Synced users not able to authenticate

I created 2 tables(qlik_users and qlik_attribute) in database (screenshot attached)
and successfully synced then using user directory connector ,

But these synced users are failing to authenticate / login to Qlik hub and QMC

Tried different ways to resolve this , -

1. allocated license to user (Analyser and Professional)

2. allocated the role (root admin)

3. tried to check/uncheck "Sync user data for existing users" option

4. create and modify security rules and license allocation rules.

But nothing worked, please help if anyone can provide suggestions

I have a working solution. The field I use to loop over has more values than I want to use to create apps from.
To filter them I use a condition. I wanted to list all the values in one condition. For this I tried to separate them by comma or semicolon, but this doesn't work. I also tried to compare with list contains or contains.

Does anyone have a working solution on how to compare to a list of values?
