Hi everyone,!
We have a customer with a Hybrid Architecture:
QlikSense Client Manged with the Cloud Distribution component active and working.
License on the Tenant are 1 Professional and 4k Minutes of Analyzer Capacity.
We have some problem figuring out how the licensing model works; let me explain:
first: the applications are developed on Qlik Sense Client Manged Edition (Windows Server) then afterwards we've set up via custom properties the automatic upload of the Application in Cloud once it has end reloading. (via the Cloud Distribution qmc feature).
The applications uploaded on the SaaS Tenant are then in status "STAGED".
We HAVE to publish the application on a Managed Space from what I recall. (so cannot be published to a shared space).
The app is being published on a Managed Space. I will assign User-X to the managed Space.
Everything looks good; User-X is a capacity analyzer and consumes the Application.
The Application has got the Section Access Enabled.
_____
Problem:
Uploading another App;
The application has Section Access enabled and it's set to be consumed by User-Y on the SaaS.
The application is being uploaded on the STAGED area, then assigned to the Manged Space.
User-Y is being made memeber of the Managed Space.
User-Y makes a mistake and tries to open the User-X application, but of course, the Section Access Won't let him open the application stating an error.
What we've saw is that every time User-Y makes a mistake, a session is opened and a pack of 6 minutes is being consumed from the Analyzer Capacity Pool.
Is this an expected behaviour?
This does mean that I have to create a Managed Space for each Application?
Thanks
Vlad
Hi @VRaducan,
Yes I would expect this behavior as opening an application would trigger the consumption of minutes. In this case, I think the easiest solution is to create a new space for each different set of users, or alternatively come up with some naming scheme to avoid the accidental consumption of minutes.
