Remove Confirmation box when making selections in chart
Hello!
Is there any way to remove the confirmation box when you are making selections in the charts or tables? I find the double clicks to be not user friendly.

Hi there.
What you are seeing is the default Qlik Selection model for list boxes, tables, charts etc and cannot be disabled.
However, we have new selection tool that may also interest you.
Its the 'lasso' tool.
Have a look at this Youtube video. I suggest watching the entire video but it is already bookmarked for you on the 'lasso tool'.

Kind regards...

Hi Frank.
Thanks for your response.
Actually what the request was meant the elimination of several additional clicks when users have multiple selections to make. The Lasso Tool, though interesting, still requires you to confirm the selection as well which does not improve the user experience. Especially when the screen size is small and you cant even see the confirmation option.
I wonder if there could be a future enhancement to improve this?

I believe this is unlikely to be changed, since the default behavior needs to apply to both a single-value selection but also to selecting multiple values. Without a confirmation box, the latter becomes impossible. Qlik has largely resisted this sort of toggle in Sense thus far, so I would be somewhat surprised if this sort of thing was added.
Do note that some extensions, such as Vizlib Table, do have the option to switch to "Single select mode" where you can't select multiple values and as a result, confirmation is not required, so if this is a critical issue you could look into using an existing extension or possibly creating your own.

We are having this same request from a client that is migrating from QlikView. Their users have come to calling Qlik Sense "Two Qliks" because of having to confirm selections.
