We are experiencing errors installing NPrinting and unable to trace the cause. Would really appreciate any pointers.
I run the QlikNPrintingServer_x64.exe using a service user as described in the docs. I filled in all the requested details suitably. The install eventually fails with 'Setup Failed - Fatal error during execution'. See logs below.
Installing on Windows Server 2012 R2. QlikSense is installed on the same machine (I realise this is not recommended but is the only option we have currently).

I followed these instructions to install: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2019/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Installing...
Hi,
Installing Qlik NPrinting Server or Engine in the same computer where Qlik Sense is installed is not supported. So if you have an issue, the first thing to do is to install Qlik NPrinting Server or Engine on a different computer (virtual or physical).
Be sure to met all the requirements listed in the help site.
Best Regards,
Ruggero
RabbitMQ is not more installed as RabbitMQ since some versions. It is Qlik NPrinting Messaging service and it is installed by the Qlik NPrinting Server setup. You will not see it in the Program and Features list as RabbitMQ or in the Services. In the services you see the Qlik NPrinting Messaging service.
Hi,
Is this a fresh installation or upgrade? Error occurs when it tries to install Messaging service, so check just in case that you don't have RabbitMQ installed on this machine, I would dig into that direction.
Also, I would stop all QS services before installing NPrinting, it shouldn't affect though, but anyway.
Hope this helps.

Installing on the same machine is not supported. It may, but also may not work.
On the other hand - have you run installer with elevated privilages ("run as administrator")??

Thanks for the feedback all
Some more info:
- I did have a look and couldn't see RabbitMQ installed
- I am running as administrator
- I didn't stop the QlikSense services before attempting to install NPrinting. I'll give this a try.
I guess the next thing to do is attempt the install on a separate box.
Also just in case, check installation pack somewhere else, so you're sure there is nothing wrong with installation file itself...
//Andrei
yes-install on standalone box is the proper step!
@crusader_ How would I do this? 'Check installation pack' - Do you just mean try to install elsewhere?
Is anyone able to give more insight into the issue as described in the logs?
Installing on a separate box is not possible right now - this is just a proof of concept and not a production system.
I cannot see RabbitMQ installed on the system so do not know what to look into next.
