We are pleased to confirm that the latest patch for Qlik Sense April 2019 is now available on our download site. April 2019 Patch 1 includes several product defect fixes and you can find details of all the fixes in the attached release notes.
The patch is installed as a MSP and must be installed on top of the full Qlik Sense April 2019 installation.
Thank you for choosing Qlik software. As always, please follow best practices when upgrading any software and make sure you back up your system before making changes.
We just upgraded to April 2019 Patch 1, and we're seeing something strange in the Output window after an app load. Below is a snippet of what we're seeing. I can't remember for sure what the output looked like before, but now we're getting weird timestamps with an "A" after them - and it seems like some log information is missing or being truncated. Is this a new bug in this release?
by now I avoided upgrading to this release, but I suggest you to take a look at the Logs (desktop: C:\Users\<userName>\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Log\Script; server: C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Script for each node you have) or Archived Logs (server: \\sharedFolder\ArchivedLogs\<nodeName>\Script\) to compare the new version to the old one.
@steverosebrook I do not get timestamp like that when I reload, not sure if that is output you generate in your script. I'd suggest you spawn the question to a separate thread for more help on troubleshooting, or turn to Qlik Support (https://support.qlik.com) for investigation if you think the product is not behaving as expected.
@rzenere_avvale I am not sure if you are hesitating to upgrade to April 2019 from a previous release or to applying this patch on an existing April 2019 deployment. A patch is a minor update that only alters the files related to bug fixes, it is not expected to have any real impact on your deployment. An upgrade is a more significant change in your deployment, as you migrate into a new feature set. If you have any issues in your upgrade process or observe something that you believe is not working as expected, please reach out to Qlik Support (https://support.qlik.com) for further investigation so that your upgrade can be completed successfully.
We upgraded to April 2019 Patch 1 version and are experiencing an issue in our DEV environment where the app reload errors out every alternate time. It will load successfully the first time then fail, then reload successfully, then fail so on and so forth.
Error: Variable inconsistency. Attached is the screenshot of Data load editor error.
Has anyone else experienced similar issue? What is root cause of it? @mto
Hi, I am upgrading Qlik sense from Nov 2018 to April 2019. This version has 2 patches, so do I need to install patch 1 and then patch after base April 2019 installation or should Directly install Patch 2 after April 2019 file installation.
