I have 3 environments Dev, UAT and Production and my objevtive is to store a script file in each of these envirnmenyt to help me to set some envirnmental related variables - the benefit being that these are outside of my load script so that I can promote dashboards through the envirnments with little fuss.

So for example I hope to hold the connection name in the script and refer to it as $(vConnection) etc.

I understand that I need to create a text file for my script which I have done (Environment.txt) and this is stored in the root of the Space I have (Live - PP) my connection name is called 'PP-prod'

In my Load script I have added:

$(Must_Include='lib://Live - PP:PP-prod/Environment.txt'); 

I have also tried:

$(Must_Include='lib://:PP-prod/Environment.txt');

$(Must_Include='lib://Live - PP:/Environment.txt');

$(Must_Include='lib://Live - PP:PP-prod/DataFiles/Environment.txt');

as well as the above with the file named Environment.qvs

I get the error

$(MUST_INCLUDE= *** cannot access the local file system in current script mode. Try including with LIB path.

Can anyone advise what I might be doing wrong?

Hi,

Two of our qlik tasks stopped because of the max connection count on database side. According to our dba, they can provide only  max 500 connections. And we already 520 connection that's why some of our tasks are failed. How can we fix this issue? We need to set max connection count globally and each task should up and running. 

We have many instances and you can see the count of connections in these instances.

For instance I have Table A as shown below

Now I want to be able to do this if I select Category A as a dimension , I want to get the total for Category A which in this case is 187 and all the other Categories that is B - E should be shown as Other and I get a combined summation for those Categories. If I select B I get the sum form and everything else is combined together. 

I hope this make sense. How can I get that done.

i don't have any idea on the background related to Data Gateway,  there is a job failure  and data gateway is getting connected and disconnected, What will be the root cause and how to fix it.  Can i get some reference.

Hi all,

We've had a bit of a disaster situation and some of our extensions broke and no longer worked. We've restored most of them but the key one (ClimberKPI) is now unavailable for download due to being depreciated and was completely unrecoverable.

If any of you still use ClimberKPI or have the original files available, would you please be able to provide these to us? It would be really appreciated if there is any help available or suggestions as we'd the alternative is a complete rebuild of many many visualisations.

For the logical operators (and, or, not, xor), what is the order of operations?

For example, if I say

condition1 or condition2 and condition3

Will it evaluate as

(condition1 or condition2) and condition3

or

condition1 or (condition2 and condition3)

?

Also, is it possible to use parentheses to change that behavior?

Hello I am using a student account, Im the tenant and I have all privileges. Even that I have already consent the generation of API Keys and also I have given me the role of developer.  

When I try to generate an API key it throws me a message saying that the content im trying to acces is restricted or not accesible.
