Hi,
This example describes the oauth2 setup for embedding. My understanding is that one also need to set up and configure an identity provider to get it to work.
This example describes impersonation setup for embedding. Using a modified version that fits my needs, I get an "Authorize" button as expected in the oauth2 case since it doesn't seem to use or look at the "getAccessToken" function to get the available access token. Instead it sends cookies to try to verify that the user is logged in.
Have I made any setup misstakes?
Do I need to set up an Identity provider in the impersonation case as well?
Kind regards
Johan
Hello Community,
I have a PowerShell script that uses Qlik CLI to generate the File IDs of QVDs from SaaS and store it onto a text file. This Shell script works when I run it manually on the host server but unable to execute it through Qlik Sense for Windows' External Program Task even though the result says success.
The Following is the Qlik CLI Script which works -
qlik data-file ls --connectionId 4a6e016f-b3db-4301-a934-4cdce133cdfb --limit 500| ConvertFrom-Json | Format-Table id, name > \\QLK-ANA-PUE-001\QlikSenseAppData\BatchScripts\DA-Load\File-Id.txt
The Following is the External Program Task:
Path: powershell.exe
Parameters: -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "& {Start-Process PowerShell -ArgumentList '-NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File ""\\qlk-ana-pue-001\QlikSenseAppData\BatchScripts\DA-Load\Run_Generate.ps1""' -Verb RunAs}"
Please help in debugging this issue.
Thanks,
Aslam
We have a theme in our QlikSense on-premises Windows system. I can download it as a zip file via QMC -> Extension -> Export.
It was created by a former colleague who is no longer with the company.
QUESTION: I would like to learn more about how to edit this file and understand its contents. Thanks in advance
PS
The zip file contains following files:
Standardtema.qext |
open-sans-300.ttf |
open-sans-600.ttf |
open-sans-700.ttf |
open-sans-regular.ttf |
qsVars.json |

Hi All,
We are currently on May 2023 Patch10 version with Postgres12.
Understand from our security team that there are the below two vulnerabilities for Postgres
This vulnerability exists in pgAdmin, specifically inside the /settings/store API response json payload. Exploiting this vulnerability could allow a threat actor to execute malicious script on the client end and steal sensitive cookies.
This vulnerability affects pgAdmin, which could allow a threat actor to bypass multi-factor authentication on affected versions.
Is anyone aware if it affect Qlik Sense enterprise on windows?
Thanks & Regards
Amar Shedage

Hello all,
We have a replicate job that uses postgreSQL as source and both Kafka and Oracle as endpoint.
Some columns in our tables have a single space as value. (So " ") This is replicated fine to Oracle, we can see the length is 1 and the columns in questions are non nullable so that works.
However in our Kafka message for the same action the value is given as "", so no single space anymore but NULL. I only found a mention of this type of behavior for Oracle as source in case of CHAR columns so it comes unexpectedly to us.
Is there a way to keep the space (so the actual value) in the Kafka message?
Hello,
we are migrating a lot of applications from QlikView to Qlik Cloud (Qlik Sense).
and following Qlik's best practices, we have a lot of different spaces on different tenants.
As a consequence, user management is a huge task and we need to use user's group to handle this. As far as I know we can't create users groups natively (?) ,
we tried Google authentication and it not seems possible either to create group (to be precise, it's seems not possible to use directly a group from Google in the Qlik Cloud interface). If we need to change right or to delete an user, I don't want to manually check hundreds of space / applications properties to check if the user have some rights on it
Do you have recommendations on how to be able to manage Space security with group ? How can we do this ? If you doesn't use groups, do you have others ideas to handle it ?
Best regards
Hello,
I am trying to input more than one string in a variable and the best I could come with is this...
Hi there,
I am trying to compute a 5-weeks moving average correctly to display it in a graph in a Nprinting report.
Basically my data looks like the attached example :
- week id
- Nb is my measure
- Moving average 5 weeks : the 5-week moving average of the measure "Nb"
I want to display "Nb" and its "Moving average 5 weeks" only over the last 10 weeks, so between week 202411 and 202420 in my example.
But for weeks 202411 to 202415, I need older data points to be able to compute properly the 5 weeks rolling average, example :
Moving average 5 weeks for week 202411 = (120 + 200 + 27 + 128 + 625 )/5 = 220
Problem : if I filter on the last 10 weeks only, I miss older data required to compute properly the 5-weeks rolling average. For 202411, I will only get 120/5 = 24 which is wrong.
How can I do to compute properly the moving average for each point and only then, filter to display only the 10-week period of my interest ?
What I have already tried without success :
- compute the moving average in QlikSense and then filter on 10 last weeks in Nprinting graph : FAILED
- filter on 20 last weeks in Nprinting graph to get correct moving average value and then apply an additional filter on 10 last weeks at task level (hoping the aggregation would be performed before the final filter on period) : FAILED
Thanks for your help
