ComponentServer answer is not parsable. Check its state

Hi,

I am doing the Introduction to Pipeline Designer on Talend Academy. When doing the module to add a connection, I enter the information in the module and I get the following error "ComponentServer answer is not parsable. Check its state". What does this mean? I am doing this training on the provided vm on Talend Academy.

Please help. Thank You,

Hello @rimeBrika,

Can you show us all the parameters in your connection form ?

There are multiple errors that can lead to this message. My guess is that it could be due to an error with your JDBC setup.

But we need to see your exact input to determine the issue.

Thank you very much,

Thibaut

Sorry for late reply. This is what the module said to use to connect to DB. The ip address is the ip address of VM.

You should try restarting the Cloud engine for pipelines as follows :

- Navigate to Management Console

- Click Engine on the left menu

- On the engines list, hover over Cloud Engine for Pipelines. This will display the stop/start button

- Click to stop the engine

- When the engine is stopped, click the icon to start the engine
