Congratulations to our very own Women Who Qlik member and Luminary @VParsons on an amazing story now up on Qlik.com!
Learn how South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) partnered with Ordnance Survey and Qlik to transform ambulance fleet operations through its Intelligent Vehicle Monitoring project. By harnessing millions of fleet management datapoints, SCAS gained deeper visibility into ambulance demand, deployment, and maintenance needs.
The initiative enabled smarter maintenance scheduling, improved ambulance availability, and more effective crew deployment, helping keep ambulances on the road longer and ultimately improving patient care and incident response times across the region.

Artificial Intelligence is powerful, fast, and confidently woven into our decisions including drafting emails, ranking candidates, flagging risks, and recommending actions. But as its influence grows, so does the question of responsibility: not just whether AI makes mistakes, but who owns them.
In this Data Voyagers episode, Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP @igoralcantara and Qlik Partner and Education Ambassador @Aklidas, explore the six pillars of AI governance: safety, security, legal, ethics, performance, and sustainability. They examine bias, model drift, regulatory pressure, and environmental impact. Igor and Angelika show that governing AI isn’t about slowing innovation; it’s about protecting trust and ensuring we are disciplined enough to manage the systems shaping our decisions.

Happy International Women's Day! This year's theme, "Give to Gain," resonates deeply with our mission at Women Who Qlik. The Women Who Qlik community is an amazing group of women who support each other, share experiences and knowledge, and I'm truly loving being a part of it!
In the spirit of International Women’s Day, I want to share a piece of my own journey and offer some advice for all the brilliant women starting their careers in data, analytics, and AI.
The Experience That Shaped Me
At almost 64 years old, life is never dull, and I'm always on a learning curve! When I started as a Manager of a Data & Analytics team, I remember sitting in a meeting where I was the only woman at the table. I had an idea, a different way of looking at the data and the Business Intelligence process, that I believed could solve the problems we were facing. However, when I started to explain, I was interrupted, and my idea was dismissed before I could fully explain it. I will never forget that moment; it made me feel small, and I began to doubt myself. Was my story incorrect? Should I have spoken up? Was my idea really that bad?
Later that day, a senior colleague who had witnessed the exchange asked me for a separate meeting. He said, “Well, that didn’t go well, but I think they misunderstood you. How can I help you bring your idea to the table?” The tip he gave me was, never let anyone silence you. Your perspective is valuable because it's different, and you have a clear vision for the future of our teams. I got the help I needed, I was mentored, and my voice was heard. The biggest success from that moment was that the two teams were merged into one, and we started using the same data source! My biggest lesson was learning that I do have a voice, and with the help of my mentor, people started to listen.
This experience shaped my years as a manager. Stories like this, and those from the amazing Women Who Qlik, reinforce that no woman should ever feel like she must shrink to fit in or be ignored. Mentorship matters, and it helps you grow!
My Tips for starting in data, analytics, and AI
For those of you just beginning your journey, here are some of the lessons that I've learned along the way:
On this International Women's Day, I encourage you to reflect on the theme of "Give To Gain." Give your time, your knowledge, and your support to the women around you. In doing so, you will not only help them to rise, but you will also find that you gain more than you ever thought possible. Together, we can continue to build a future where every woman has a seat at the table, and where every voice is heard.

Hello Women Who Qlik!

Hi Women Who Qlik,
Data Voyagers has 2 new podcasts available, both recorded recently at the Lund Meetup.
The first is an in depth conversation with Qlik CEO Mike Capone around Qlik’s journey from its Scandinavian origins in 1993 to its present as a global leader in data and AI. Mike reflects on how Qlik’s mission evolved from helping people see the whole story in their data to enabling intelligent, autonomous decision-making across the enterprise.
You can listen HERE.
The second Qlik Partner Ambassadors @igoralcantara and @Aklidas sit down with Luminaries @VParsons (NHS Foundation Trust) and @Henri_Rufin (Radiall) for an open and unfiltered conversation about analytics, data practice, challenges, use cases, and the evolving role of Qlik.
You can listen HERE.
Happy Listening!
If you know me, you know I love to learn! My last course was back in May when I prepped for the Qlik AI Specialist certification. I really enjoyed the program (and format)! It helped reinforce key concepts around AI and Qlik's AI tools and methods. I highly recommend it to anyone working in the data and analytics space.
Now that I have a bit of breathing room in my schedule, I am looking for my next course. I am open to anything in the data/analytics space, leadership, or really anything that has helped you grow or sparked inspiration.
If you have taken a course recently that you loved, I’d love to hear about it. Always looking for good recommendations!
