The ajax client runs in the browser and does not support all the functionality of Qlikview Desktop or the Qlikview IE Plugin. On the other hand extensions don't work in Desktop mode, but only in the ajax client or in Web View in QV Desktop. Macro's often don't work in the ajax client and neither do some triggers.
