I use sheet triggers to get tables/charts on my dashboards to default to the current day and sometimes the current fiscal period ect.. I also have reports that are generated by a macro. These reports use these same triggers by activating a sheets programatically (in script). This really seem's kludge to achieve filters on for a report. I also am not sure if bookmarks will help much because I dont always expose the exact field that i use for my trigger as a listbox that I can develop a trigger against. ie current day is based on date but I expose separate Year, Month and Day list boxes rather than a list box date.
So, what is the best way to set filters in vbscript? Is there anyway to call a document trigger in vbscript? That would be nice because you could develop a trigger once and then activate it for any report you are creating.
