Huge diagram slows down QVW opening

Hi

I have a QVW Report with a big diagram, including lots of complex formulas. Now I experience that opening the qvw file takes a long time, although the diagram is not

- on the start page of the report

- not visible at the Initial state of the report

- initially calculating: I have set a calc. condition that should prevent diagram calculation at Initial opening of the doc.

What more can I do to make the Report opening faster? If I delete the diagram from the Report, everything is fine.

Thank you - Marcel

Hi

I have managed to reduce the diagram complexity. I had some formula conditions where the condition was built with a sum(...) statement. Changing this helped, and I did not have to eliminate one calculated dimension.

So now the Report opens normally again.

Can you post an example qikview document that demonstrates the problem?

Hi

the file is too big to be sent. Meanwhile, I have read some other posts dealing with the same problem. I have already minimized my diagram, but the problem persists.

Hm, I will first try to reduce the complexity of the diagram (no calc. dimensions, simple functions), and then send you the example if I do not manage to solve the problem.

thank you! Marcel

That thing has many reasons to go through

- a lots of RAM consuming applications going on

- a lots of data in your file

- your hardware configuration

- sometimes issues in data model

- many time costly expressions in UI

as for me, only reason I had to deal with was "costly expressions in UI".

Other possible reasons could Impact my report too, as it consumes lots of RAM, has a complex data model etc. But only reason were the costly formula expressions.
