Internet Explore Plugin is installed in System Unable to See the plugin

 

Hi All,

 

i have installed Internet Explore Plugin in System , but i m Unable to see the plugin option. please help,

Only thing of which I can think is you are missing the prompt to 'allow' the plugin when you hit the AccessPoint page, as this is when we check to see if the Plugin is installed, and if it is, we should ask if you want to allow it to run or not, and that is where you can click allow.

The other thing you can check though, is in Internet Explorer Tools\Internet Options\JPrograms\Manage add-ons button\click the Show: dropdown and select All add-ons, and then see if you can see QlikTech International AB and the QlikOCX Control there at that point.  If it is showing there, then the browser knows it is available.

The last thing of which I can think is the security zone in which you are hitting the QlikView Server may be restricting things.  If you can change your Security tab settings in the IE Tools\Internet Options, try putting the QlikView Server site into your Trusted Sites security zone, or if you can see what zone you are in, check to see if the Enable Protected Mode checkbox is checked tehre or not, as if it is, that is likely what is blocking things.
