Did anyone come across an issue with performance or load, when you have an AntiVirus application running in the background (specifically Symantec)? I have noticed a problem...when I do a reload while working on my laptop with 2GB ram and 2.4G processor, I see that after loading about 20 million rows, QV crahses showing its running out of virtual memory error. This is the laptop provided by client and I am sure I have worked with similar or bigger apps on my personal laptop in the past with same configuration...except the only difference is that i dont have any firewall or Antivirus running in the back ground,.... Can anyone tell me if they faced a siimilar issue in the past?? I cannot disable the AV due to the company security policy stuff....
Might depend also on the number of columns, but my laptop gives up at around 12 Mio records .... 2 GB RAM is actually not much with OS and other applications running as well.
