Need to add values before a particular date

I would like to add values before a particular date and I am using following formula. Though the expression is OK, but I am still not able to get desired result.

if([Posting Date]<='2013/03/31',Sum(Quantity))

Please help me.

Hi Sasi,

This is fine, but I need opening stock of each month for each brand and for each location. How to achieve that. The calculation is simple i.e. sum(quantity) before selected date or passed date, but I am not able to map same in qlikview.

Please suggest.

Hi

Qlikview output matches with your excel data .The total shown as  24 for the location and category for 31/03/2013

and 27 for 30/04/2013

use the expression Sum({<Month=,[Posting Date]={'<=30/04/2013 12:00:00 AM'}>}Quantity)
