I have a chart which calculates certain expression - I want a line expression that gives me previous year aggregate as a staright line . I am struggling to do so since my dimension is a month dimension and I doing a last year aggregate

If your expression are correct and it is just that the line looks tiny, then what you need is a split axis combo chart, i.e. on the Axes tab, select Last Year and set Position to Right(Top). Checked attached QVW.
What is the expression on which you want to show the previous year value. Have you considered using the AGGR function for that one with a reference line, i.e. AGGR(expression, Year)?
