grade from 2 diff time frame??

Hi All

I have a challenge to show grade changes. Sample app is attached.

Need is to show employees curr grade vs what was previous grade. e.g. employee 1422 was promoted and demoted may times in past 2 years. Or how many who where in grade 8 now in grade 10, in June 2017 what was curr grade of this person and what was prev grade. Is this pivot possible?
