Hi all,

I have a issue in exporting strait table to excel I get csv file instead, the table has about 90000 rows and I set RowLimitForCsvInsteadOfXls=400000 in following path in server

":C:\Users\*\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView"

I set this variable(RowLimitForCsvInsteadOfXls) as 400000 in desktop version but it still doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated

Excel 97-2003 format (XLS) is limited to maximum 65,536 rows and 256 columns per sheet (check this article). Above this limit, tables will be exported as CSV.

You can upgrade your QlikView to version November 2017 (12.20), which supports exporting to XLSX format (max 1M rows).

Hi,

As mentioned by Vu, there is a limitation on rows and columns with MSExcel, here is the detailed explanation,

Excel specifications and limits - Excel , if you've an older version of Excel other than mentioned in the link, suggestion is to upgrade and try importing, also the import time depends on the RAM of your computer as well.
