Add only new records for current month?

Hi all,

i have a requirement where in need to consider only new contacts which have been added for the month.

suppose i have 3 month say Jan, Feb and March..

in Jan: contacts are

1. janny

2. marsh

3. symon

in feb: contacts are

1. marsh

2. richa

3. janny

in march: contacts are

1. marsh

2. janny

3. coli

4. sodi

now i want the result like:

Month	contacts
Jan	3
feb	1
mar	2
