I cannot get it to work using any diemnsion at all...
Lat and Long is tied to City
Hello James,
No problems over here, it works flawlessly. Please let me know which problem you encounter, or post your application so I can fix it for you.
regards Mark
I have every city linked to a long and lat. For dimension I have used shipping customer, whcih links to a city whioch lnks to the coordinates.
No bubbles appear at all? I would assume the sum of the revenue would populate each "Bubble" based on the coordinates, yet i never see any
Somehow, your QlikView datamodel requires the dimension to be a keyfield. Try link_SalesDocument as dimension and the bubbles will show up. I can't give you an answer at this moment why other dimension fields don't work.

Ok, I think i figured it out. Because you have multiple longitude and latitude coordinates in most of your dimensions (cities), the expressions to calculate the bubble position based on the latitude and longitude and the zoom values does not result in the right x and y positions. When you for instance use avg() instead of sum() in these expressions the result is better, but I don't know if this creates other problems.. If I have more time I will do some tests.
regards Mark
Mark, isnt that the point of this to have multiple long and lat? Each city I have has 1 coordinate. Yet I have over 1600 cities....
I use customer name as my dimension and each customer has one longitude and latitude. When I use customer city as dimension I have multiple logitudes and latitudes. The best solution is to place the bubble in the centre of the coordinates by using avg() in the expression.
did you try looking at the transparency on the colour tab. The transparancy for the backgroundcolour needs to be set to 0%. That did the trick for me.
