Need license enabling server IP address (or FQDN)

We have locked down our servers from accessing the internet and I need to enter a policy in the firewall to allow them to contact the license enabling server.

Thanks!

If you want to activate the license of your Qlikview Server installation you can also use a LEF file if your servers aren't allowed to contact QlikTechs licensing server. You can get a LEF file from this site when you enter your license number. See this discussion for more information.

Hi,

Although G Wassenaar's answer above is correct, that address is not supposed to be available to the public, meaning that it might not be available even if you have access to the Internet. The usual process is to make your QlikView sales rep or Partner Manager send this LEF file in txt format by email, therefore making sure it has been updated. You will need to paste its contents, along with the serial number and control number in the QMC, System, Licenses, QlikView Server (and Publisher, if you have it).

Regards,

Miguel
