QMC Tasks missing after a QlikView Server upgrade

Hi We have recently upgraded a QlikView Server from Apr 2020 version to May 2022 version. All the services are up and running in QlikView Server but the tasks went missing. We tried putting the COnfig.xml file from backup but that doesn't help.

Hi @nehasharma,

I'm moving this thread from the Qlik Sense > Deployment & Management forum to the QlikView  >  Administration forum so that it reaches the correct audience.

The tasks are stored in the QlikView Management Service QVPR database. You should be able to recover the tasks by restoring the QVPR. Qlik Knowledgebase article How To: Restore the QVPR From Backup or Recreate the QVPR has the details on how to perform the restore. Ping back if you have further questions.

Hello @nehasharma ,

Did @Chip_Matejowsky  suggestion help?

Have you change you license or add a Publisher license too apart from upgrading?

Cheers,

Albert

Hi @Chip_Matejowsky

I applied the SLK. Then all the reload tasks disappeared. I restored QVPR per How To: Restore the QVPR From Backup or Recreate the QVPR. Yes all the reload tasks were back but I cannot assigned any licenses. All the users cannot access QV apps, either in web browser or QV client remotely.

The client had to recover back and now I have QV 12.60 with expired license in legacy mode, and the new SLK. What should I do to apply the SLK without breaking anything?

Thank you very much!

Fei

Hi @Visual_Intelligence_Support,

I have a couple of questions that may help sort this issue out.

In the QV 12.60 environment, do you have Publisher enabled or are you using the Reload Engine?
Is Publisher enabled in your SLK license? If you're not sure, reach out to your Qlik account manager or Qlik Customer Support to find out.
