I downloaded and tried out QVPE about a month ago. I now need to connect to our company's server and look at the .qvw files there with my QV desktop. How do I view the scripts and the data loads in the .qvw from my QVPE desktop. Is there a different desktop download I need to do?
No need to download anything. You need a license, either applied directly to your QV desktop (speak to your vendor), or leased from the server.
Assuming that you have been assigned a CAL on the server, or the server is set to dynamic licensing and there are free licenses available, open QV, on the start page select Open in Server and enter the server address in the box, something like
qvp:\\myserver
and click open. That will start the license lease.
