The underline of a text belonged directly to them and therefore it couldn't be colored in a different color - text within a single table-cell and many other parts like titles and so on could have only one size, font-type and color. By using from extensions it might be possible to change this - whereby I don't know one in which a pivot is rebuild for the purpose of changing some layout-parts.
