Hi,
I know that there is a commonly used dashbording functionality that makes possible to make a selection of some items (e.g. 7 brands out of 100 possible) and then compare any of the selected brands to the others. The best way to do it is by the means of highlighting.
I'm trying to implement something like that in QlikView but don't see any solution yet.
The task in very simple:
1) I've selected 7 brands out of 100 (in the list box) and displayed them on three charts. Note that these charts are multi-coloured by default.
2) Now I’d like to highlight some brand by clicking on a corresponding bar. I want the other six competitors to be also displayed (coloured grey or half-transparent) so that I could compare my brand to its competitors.
3) I want my selection on one chart to be automatically applied to the other two charts.
Please see the files attached.
Is there any way to implement it in QlikView?
Can Alternate state be of any use to solve this task?
Thank you in advance,
Larisa
Now I’d like to highlight some brand by clicking on a bar.

Well, after some thinking it looks like it is possible. See attached example.
Maybe something like the attached example.
Thanks, Gysbert!
Can I highlight a certain brand by clicking directly on a bar, but not selecting it from the second check-box you created?
Now, if I click on a bar, then all previously selected brands disappear.

Thank you. It is great!
