Community animations (holidays and celebrations)

Sometimes qlik community is decorated with javascript animations, like right now because of christmas there's a snowfall animation on community pages. I have noted that there is a settings button where it is possible to turn the animation off, but every time I open a new page the animation is activated again.

Please store that user setting in a cookie and apply it to all pages until I actively choose to turn it on again. The animations are unnecessarily heavy on the computer cpu and slows the browser down quite a lot and I want to be able to get rid of them permanently. (I'm using Windows 11, Chrome and Firefox on a relatively new Intel i5 laptop).

@henrikalmen Even though you make your own changes, the never ending snow issue is resolved.

@henrikalmen I will look into fixing.

I've long since added filters to block most of these, including the holiday one and more recently the Q one. This is somewhat like playing a song on infinite loop - it's great the first time, nice the next few times, and annoying by the time you've heard it the 50th or 100th time.

True. Got a good laugh at your post.

Its like the early days of the internet, when everyone had pop-up windows or played music when you loaded the page 🙂
