How many people use Qlik Community?

I would like to estimate the number of people using this community.

I have always thought it would be nice to see my ranking as, example, 257th out of .....

I think ranking is not a good way to estimate the number of members because there are repeated rankings. But think you for your contribution anyway.

Ranking is a good way but its just the last rank how many times its repeated. Because, as I noticed if there are 3 ppl with 333 rank the next person rank would be 336.

This is actually quite a difficult question to answer.

There are some colleagues of mine that look at qlik community but do not sign up to it.

Equally there are those who sign up but are not active users.

One option would be to track the online traffic for a better idea of site usage but that information could only be provided by the site owners.

At the Qlik Conference, I visited last week, the number of QlikCommunity users was estimated as 100000.

And there are some good answers here. ngulliver‌ is correct- its really tough to gauge how many people use Qlik Community. There is a World Wide Member count of over 100,000 but not all of those are active or participating. This doesn't even address the huge number of people who find us via google, linking etc and who find what they need without ever creating an account or logging in.

For privacy purposes most communities don't disclose the specific numbers and metrics breakdown externally. As you know we are a public community so we try not to give our competitors any specific data on our members.

This thread does broach another important analytics topic on measurement and how it can duffer amongst organizations. Its not only the complete number count but members who log in regularly, those who take an action (like, download, comment etc), and finally the members who actively engage by posting content, answering questions, uploading documents etc.

Are you looking to measure another online community or are you just curious about the membership here?
