Connected server OK, negotiations timed out Switching to HTTP tunneling Connected to server OK, No reply received.

Hi Forum

Sometimes the users obtain this message:

Connected server OK, negotiations timed out Switching to HTTP tunneling Connected to server OK, No reply received.

- The service is OK (Qlikview Server).
- The users have license.
- The port 4747 is open. (Client and server)
- Windows Firewall is disabled.

Thanks for your answers !!!

See if turning on/off Enable Protected Mode checkbox under IE Tools-> Options -> Security Tab helps you.

If this is only happening sometimes and only for some users, my guess would be either network problems (such as maybe the server's network card is faulty) or server overload during peak usage times. Analyze your log files using QvServerPerformance and see if you can find a trend. The session logs are probably a good place to start.

Hi Forum

Vlad thanks for you answer. Yes this is only happening sometimes and only for some users.
The server's network card is OK. I saw the log files and these don't have errors.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

try the following:

Locate the file C:\Program Files\QlikView\Server\QvClients\QvJava\CodeLib\Authenticate.js

Copy (don't move) this file to C:\Program Files\QlikView\Server\QvClients\QvPlugin\Authenticate.js

See if the above solves your problem with the plugin.

Does this happen with all clients (Plugin and AJAX)? Does it happen with all browsers (IE and Firefox)?

Hi Vlad

We use qvp connection (Our distributor recomends this). The users have Qlikview Professional installed.
I have tried with Plugin (IE) and Ajax. But the trouble persists (Connected server OK, negotiations timed out Switching to HTTP tunneling).

Thanks a lot.
