EpicUGM mini-post - The Epic App Orchard

Last week was Epic's annual user group meeting, commonly called UGM. Even people that don't work at Epic or use it in their line of work know what that those three letters U-G-M mean for our small city of Madison: busy traffic, crowded restaurants, and dips in the supply of treasured goods (read: cheese and beer). Epic extended an offer for Qlik to join the festivities, and we graciously accepted - staffing a vibrant demo booth in Voyager Hall with countless demos of Qlik + Epic integrations. We have much to share from the event, so I'll break these up into bite-sized posts. Tagging with EpicUGM mini-post. Enjoy.

The Epic App Orchard

Think of it as an extended or re-imagined Epic Community Library. You can share analytical/reporting and clinical content. The App Orchard is ripe (I couldn't resist) for QlikView and Qlik Sense apps! You're already building them and we already call them apps.

The apps can be built off of Epic's public and private APIs (application programming interfaces) including Cogito Data Warehouse, Clarity, and Chronicles. These apps can be clinical, financial, operational, or just general time-saving utilities. The process looks to be a little more rigorous, if only for the required documentation that wasn't needed for posts to the Community Library.

How can Qlik help?

We can assist you in identifying potential apps to share and help through the documentation and submission processes. Please reach out to me at joe.warbington@qlik.com for more details.

Thanks!
