Listbox Shrink in AJAX

When in AJAX and using the search box (i.e. the object is selected and you start typing what you want to search for), if you type something that doesn't exist in the list, the size of the list box changes.  This does not happen if the Plus sign has been selected to search other fields as well.  See screenshots below.  Anyone know if Qlik is aware of this as a bug?

When the extra search is closed:

Well, Support responded that this was working as designed.  Not sure why something would behave significantly different when using AJAX and not using AJAX, but there it is for anyone else that is concerned about this.
