Possible MySQL ODBC connector 5.1.11 bug

Hi everyone,

during development last week I noticed that there was a problem with the 5.1.11 MySQL ODBC connector.

Occasionally, the connector caused QlikView to crash entirely after I tried adding a table by clicking "select" in the script editor.

Strangely enough, this only happened with one specific table. QlikView froze up and crashed entirely. Once or twice, QV started working again, however not showing me any fields from my tables anymore (and these were working flawlessly before I had clicked on the table that causes this problem).

The reason that I am thinking this is a bug and not a database problem is because I worked aorund it by reverting back to the 5.1.9 version of the connector. With the 5.1.9 version,  everything works fine. I also checked with our db admin, there is no issue with out MySQL db (or that specific table for instance)

Now, can anyone confirm this strange behaviour as a bug?

Best regards,

Jakob

For further reference, this thread deals also with the previously described problem.

Just like in my case, the problem was solved by installing MySQL ODBC connector 5.1.9.
