UW Health is in the process of building out several applications in QlikView that directly reference the Epic CDW models (like CHOA has posted in the report repository).
We want these models to be comprehensive and self maintaining for each release of CDW.
The only way I could think of doing this is to reference the models as they are documented in the CDW console's ER Diagrams.
Has anyone attempted or figured out a way to connect to this and leverage it as a tool for BI development?
As some additional background, I manually created the following excel that captures the logical linkings of tables to schemas for CDW 9.
I can use this for my current modeling work, but when CDW is updated or new schemas are added, I would need to manually update this excel.
Per Kevin Ames, this metadata doesn't just live in the Cogito console but also in the Staging Database. These can be queried as they're standard SQL tables.
