Qlikview Module Settings - Current Local Security setting not saved

Hello!

In the past days, i've been fighting around with the below bug: Whenever i opened the Edit Module (CTRL+M) and i changed the settings for Current Local Security to "Allow System Access", then saved the changes and closed the file, Qlikview would roll back that setting.

Apparently, there is a bug that will roll back the settings unless you actually change something within the module code. I have added one blank line and then changed the setting, saved, closed the file and when i reopened, it was still there.

Hope this helps, as i couln't find the answer on Community or Internet and it really bugged me.

Have a great day!

I've had a similar problem with the Document Properties settings.  Bug or corrupted QVW.  Try to use a different QV version to make change and save, it helped in my case.

Very probably will be the reason a security setting, for example if users have disabled ActiveX all macros which need them like createobject() statements for exporting/mailing will be fail.

THanks Marcus .how can we re-prompt Module Security for document pop up box

I am not sure if user has checked option to limit the macro execution

I'm not sure - I believe it was Ctrl + m or Ctrl + Shift + m and yes this could be a reason, too but within the answer above I meant global system settings - mostly configured by the IE settings, but they are global.
